Lifesome Therapeutics has developed the first lipid nanoparticle (LNP) with intrinsic antitumoral properties, called Ohmline. LNPs are tiny nanospheres that encapsulate and transport drugs, delivering them towards tumor areas. Whereas other LNPs act as mere carriers, Ohmline inhibits tumor growth per se. Thus, when we encapsulate drugs in Ohmline, we establish synergies, with positive impacts both in terms of efficacy (better cancer eradication) and safety (less adverse effects).
